Sales Planning Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Financial Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Foodservice team. This individual will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, improving processes, and supporting leadership in achieving strategic and operational objectives. As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to strengthen decision-making, enhance performance, and ensure disciplined execution across the Foodservice BTG and WD route-to-market channels. 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, trade forecasts, and weekly projections for BTG and WD business units.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership, including variance analysis and performance tracking against KPIs.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.

Decision Support & Business Partnering

  • Partner with Sales and Operations leadership to evaluate business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and improve financial outcomes.
  • Advise on business inputs and payments related to Foodservice BTG/WD, including customer programs, trade spend, and accruals.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Combine and analyze data from multiple systems (SAP, MicroStrategy, BW, Business Objects, Margin Minder, Salesforce, etc.) to create dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial and sales reporting tools

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve financial processes.
  • Support enhancements to financial systems and tools used for forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.

Collaboration & Leadership Support

  • Provide financial support and insights for strategic planning sessions, monthly business reviews, and annual planning cycles.
  • Engage as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, contributing to both short-term decision-making and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall Foodservice financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 2–5 years of financial analysis, business planning, or operational finance experience (CPG or Foodservice preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (modeling, PowerPivot, VBA); experience with BI and visualization tools (Power Point, Power BI, MicroStrategy).
  • SAP experience strongly preferred; familiarity with APO, BW, BOBJ, and Margin Minder a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate financial insights into business actions.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
