Job Overview:

The Marketing Analytics & Intelligence (MA&I) team at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking a Principal Data Scientist passionate about building scalable data-science solutions that deepen our understanding of how consumers make decisions, perceive our brands, and are motivated to choose our beverages. This role will directly shape the future of KDP’s marketing strategy and our evolution into a data-driven organization across KDP.

You will serve as a strategic thought partner to marketing and business leaders – understanding business nuances, looking to solve those nuances with data and technology, then translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive brand growth, consumer engagement, media efficiency and increase sales. Our team brings together diverse expertise across market research, data science, digital analytics, finance, and consulting, and we operate with a culture of agility, debate, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a data-driven consumer intelligence leader, diving deep into large-scale structured and unstructured data to uncover insights that guide product, brand, and marketing strategy.

  • Partner with marketing, media, and insights teams to identify growth opportunities, define success metrics, and translate business needs into measurable data-science problems.

  • Design and build modular, reusable Data Science capabilities (e.g., predictive systems, recommendation engines) and collaborate with engineering to scale them as data products.

  • Develop, deploy, and evaluate experiments and causal frameworks to quantify marketing impact and optimize consumer engagement.

  • Explore and operationalize emerging methods in machine learning, econometrics, and data engineering to continuously improve team capabilities.

  • Communicate insights and implications to senior leadership by simplifying complex technical concepts into concise, business-focused takeaways.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $96,800 - $160,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed data systems such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Hadoop.

  • Strong experience analyzing large-scale, multi-source marketing, consumer, or behavioral datasets (e.g., media, CRM, panel, or clickstream data).

  • Expertise in machine-learning algorithms for regression, classification, clustering, recommendation, NLP, and anomaly detection.

  • Exposure in thinking about advancing data science approaches and creating actionable insight with agentic solutions

  • Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling, including Bayesian inference, causal inference, mixed-effects regression, and experimental design.

  • Proven ability to translate data into strategic narratives and business actions.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when interfacing with non-technical executives.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, with 8+ years of experience building data-science solutions for business functions such as marketing, finance, sales, consumer insights, or supply chain.

  • Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (with 5+ years) or PhD (with 2+ years) in Applied Econometrics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or a related field.

  • Experience leading the development of marketing analytics solutions such as MMMs, consumer segmentation, or personalization systems.
