A Manager, Legal Operations & Litigation Support oversees the lifecycle of electronic evidence for all legal matters, including managing data collection, processing, review, and production. The role involves managing technology, including eDiscovery and other technology platforms such as Exterro, Microsoft 365, Purview, and various forensic imaging platforms, coordinating with internal and external teams, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and acting as a liaison between legal teams and IT. Key responsibilities include project management, developing best practices, managing vendor relationships, and providing technical support and training to legal staff.
Key Responsibilities
- eDiscovery project management: Coordinate and manage the full eDiscovery lifecycle, including data collection, processing, and production, for multiple litigation and investigation matters.
- Technology management: Deploy, manage, and support eDiscovery software and other legal technology tools; act as the subject matter expert on these platforms.
- Legal hold management: Develop, issue, track, and manage legal holds and custodian lists.
- Liaison and collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the legal department, IT, outside counsel, and eDiscovery vendors.
- Workflow and best practices: Develop and implement eDiscovery best practices, workflows, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Vendor management: Qualify, coordinate, and manage eDiscovery vendors; review invoices; and ensure quality control of vendor deliverables.
- Data analysis and reporting: Perform quality control on data, generate reports on project metrics, and support case teams with data analysis and technical assistance.
- Training: Train and advise attorneys and other legal staff on eDiscovery concepts, software, and systems.
- Legal operations: Assist with legal operations initiatives, including technology tool optimization, outside counsel management, and budget tracking.
Total Rewards:
- Salary Range: $97,000 - $145,000
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
- Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
- Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience with technology and eDiscovery processes and platforms like Exterro and Microsoft 365.
- Strong project management skills.
- Technical proficiency with eDiscovery tools and data management techniques.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to eDiscovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree, often preferred in a related field, or equivalent experience.
