Job Overview:

Our Material Planning team is responsible for the day-to-day planning activities focused on raw material planning, buying, and all activities/strategy across Keurig Dr Pepper’s (KDP) Coffee BU Supply Chain network.

As a Material Planner you will work with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finished Good Planning, Logistics partners to ensure the successful on-time delivery of raw materials to each plant in the hot supply chain network (Right Material, Right Place, Right Time). The key role and responsibility of this position is the execution of daily raw material planning and oversight of buying activities with the objective to ensure raw material availability to support daily production and overall customer service. This role will ensure proper communication of material requirements across both internal and external customers and coordinate between internal functions to ensure material availability through the integrated supply chain. This position will also work on assigned Supply Chain initiatives to support the business.

Position Responsibilities

  • Continuously review the finished good forecast, analyzes production plans and inventory reports, availability / requirements for assigned materials
  • Generate a stocking strategy to our distribution partners to support warehouse capacity and resource planning
  • Assist in the expediting raw materials, when necessary, to support customer order fulfillment
  • Recommend and implement production and transportation actions when products are in out-of-stock or allocation situations
  • Use of the raw material escalation matrix and partnerships with procurement to ensure redressal of issues between cross functional teams and external suppliers
  • Execution of strategies to meet and improve supplier reliability and maximize available supply with increased inventory turns
  • Maintain close relationship with finished good multisite planning team (interlinkage of raw to finished good to Service)
  • Goals centered on service, working capital, strategies to drive supplier reliability (on time, and in full), and Min/Max adherence for plants and suppliers to include root cause and countermeasure management

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $62,500 - $88,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar field preferred
  • APICS certification and/or affiliation a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply planning / scheduling / fulfillment (preferably for a manufacturer of consumer products)
  • Prior experience working with MRP / ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • 2 years’ experience in Excel (performing functions such as pivot tables, v look-up, etc.)
