Job Description



The Analyst will be a key resource for the Warehouse Direct National Accounts business, with a focus on developing, implementing and maintaining the analytics & reporting structure within the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) organization. This person will provide critical analytical support to cross-functional business partners, acting as the point of contact with these teams to help analyze data and interpret trends, evaluate the impact of strategic decisions, and determine the performance of key products and brands. This role requires a keen interest in understanding the operations of a Fortune 500 CPG company, a desire for continuous learning in a variety of systems and analytical tools/methods, and the ability to contribute to the process of making sound business decisions.

What you will do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of commercial objectives and key drivers of the business while performing the mechanisms and processes necessary to communicate these metrics to leadership
  • Manage the creation, design & maintenance of weekly, monthly & quarterly business reporting and routines (POS, Shipments, Net Sales), and provide actionable recommendations on how to assess key business assumptions
  • Synthesize key brand sales data from various sources into visually intuitive reports, tools, and presentations; Provide and present key messages to leadership
  • Provide ad-hoc business modeling for long-term strategic planning, short-term high-level targets and other business activities
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders in all departments, including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Research & Development, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude to your responsibilities everyday


Requirements

What you must have:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field

•2+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Analytics and/or Consumer Packaged Goods

•Strong MS Excel skills (intermediate knowledge of macros a plus)

•Interest and willingness to learn and work within a variety of internal business systems (ex. SAP) and syndicated datasets (ex. IRI, NPD, 1010data)

•Proficient and comfortable with analytics fundamentals

•Prior experience working in MS Access a plus

•Firm understanding of terms for business analytics & business intelligence based on practical experience or coursework

•Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with others

•Good organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to handle a high work volume

•Strong problem-solving skills

•Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately

•Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

•Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required
