Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) utilizes a network of contract manufacturing partners and sub-tier suppliers in Asia Pacific (APAC) to produce Keurig® coffee makers (“appliances”) for sale in North America.  The Senior Director Appliances Supply Chain will serve as the single point of contact for end-to-end supply chain activities including leading Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations Integration, Sourcing/ Category Management including tier 1 and subtier suppliers, Supplier Quality & Development, Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain Corporate Responsibility teams within the KDP’s Appliances Business Unit (ABU).   This leader will ensure that the ABU’s supply chain supports business needs and requirements for delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and KDP product roadmap including: on-time delivery, product quality, delivered cost, inventory / working capital management, international trade/transport compliance, and adherence to our Supplier Code of Conduct .  This position is based in Singapore and reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Appliance Product Development, Engineering, Quality and Operations.

What you must have:

  • Goals / Objectives / Key Performance Indicators
    • Define, monitor, and drive performance across defined Key Performance Indicators (e.g, forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, delivered product cost, annual productivity, supplier quality performance, inventory/working capital, responsible sourcing compliance, etc.)
    • Cascade overall Supply Chain performance metrics, policies, and procedures across our global supply base
  • Organization (Team, Process, Tools, etc.)
    • Lead a broad team of both direct and indirect reports that is focused on developing and maintaining a strong supply chain capable of achieving operational, financial, and service expectations.
    • Accountable for communication, interviewing and hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, leveraging team and individual strengths, managing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems to ensure high performance results
    • Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department/team, high performance team approach and creating a positive climate where people want to do their best.
    • Mentor and develop direct staff, including providing consistent, actionable feedback.
  • Supply Chain Strategy
    • Collaborate with ABU leadership team and cross-functional colleagues to develop, maintain, and execute overall supply chain and category strategies.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with leaders of KDP’s Alliance and Strategic supplier partners
    • Continuously improve our supply chain capacity and capability to ensure products meet specifications, cost-objectives, quality requirements, speed/responsiveness, risk mitigation and responsible sourcing expectations.
    • Drive execution of key, in-flight strategic initiatives (e.g., geo-diversification, working capital reduction, clean-sheet based costing, post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, etc.)
  • Supplier Performance Management
    • Drive Category leadership across platforms through Supplier Performance Management (SPM) - ensuring we have the right strategies, suppliers, and risk mitigation plans for categories to support the ABU
    • Ownership of SPM with particular focus on supplier identification, qualification, and management of ongoing performance for both contract manufacturing partners as well as critical to quality sub-tier suppliers
    • Lead Supplier Performance Management (SPM) activities including achievement of KPIs, execution of continuous improvement initiatives, and conducting quarterly business reviews with key supplier partners to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
    • Partner with Engineering and Product Development teams to ensure supply chain partners are executing product and program development efforts on time, at target cost, and at target quality
  • Supply Quality & Development
    • Ensure that our extended supply base is capable to meet KDP quality standards for ongoing production while driving continuous improvement activities
    • Champion supplier-facing quality and capability development programs
    • Drive activities to assess, manage, and develop suppliers to support program ABU product and business objectives.
    • Ensure supply base compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations, contract specifications, and company policies/procedures
  • Operations Integration
    • Lead Keurig’s sourcing activities for advanced development and new appliance product introductions, providing end-to-end cost visibility and ensuring products deliver against cost KPIs and align with best-in-class cost expectations
    • Enable strong relationships with Product Management, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Planning, and our Contract Manufacturers
    • Drive collaboration between Ops Integration and Category Sourcing Managers to deliver supply chain solutions for new/updated supply requirements for both sustaining and new products
  • Planning & Logistics
    • Ensure integration of demand forecasts and supply plans so our weekly, monthly, and long-term plans deliver on business objectives.
    • Align key internal and external stakeholders to maximize customer service and minimize inventory and obsolescence of both Finished Goods and brewer components.
    • Ensure the effective coordination, cost management and network optimization for brewer freight and logistics from our CMs into North America, including coordination of Direct Import activities.
    • Need to add a bullet for order placement and order management execution
  • Responsible Sourcing
    • Drive sustainability leadership in the small home appliance industry, building upon our ABU and KDP Corporate commitments to responsible sourcing
    • Innovate supply solutions to meet the needs of an evolving consumer base that increasingly values sustainable products and supply chains
    • Drive our supplier partners to higher levels of capability and accountability for responsible sourcing leadership and outcomes


Requirements

What you must have:

  • BA, BS in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with progression through relevant supply chain management and senior leadership positions
  • Experience managing Contract Manufacturing partners and sub-tier suppliers in China and Southeast Asia highly desirable
  • Strong English language skills (verbal and written) required; Mandarin and/or Malay language skills highly desirable
  • Must be able to exercise sound judgment for decision-making and to prioritize responsibilities in a multi-tasking, matrix organization, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated skill to persuade/influence both internally and externally
  • Strong demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Prior experience working in a global company within a matrixed structure
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving training & skills
  • High interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including advanced facilitation and communication skills.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig Dr Pepper and the ABU leadership team.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Must be Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who resides in Singapore except for temporary absences; or. Foreigner who has stayed / worked in Singapore for 183 days or more in the previous year

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
  • Travel requirements 25-50%
  • Regular interaction (8-12 hours / week) with North American ABU leadership team and resources during early morning / late evening hours
