Job Description

This position reports to the Sr Director, Sales and is responsible for managing Regional Sales Managers within the business unit, whose focus is gaining market share, aiding brand awareness and driving disproportionate sales volume, within a dense geography, for Emerging Brands within the Keurig Dr Pepper portfolio. The Sr RSM will be responsible for: creating joint business plans with the distribution channel; achieving company revenue and profit targets; managing execution KPI’s & results of sales team; and delivering monthly/quarterly updates and in-depth analytics/analysis. This position is remote, with a home-based office, and frequent travel will be required. The position requires the ability to manage and develop Regional Sales Managers, who manage teams of 6+ each. This role is expected to implement & sell in approved programming with key accounts at a divisional & regional level.


Position Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accurate/timely monthly & quarterly updates on team’s performance against sales targets
  • Achieve monthly targets and develop action plans to ensure achievement of annual objectives.
  • Ensure productivity, KPI’s and store call frequency is being met.
  • Liaise with cross-functional senior KDP leadership (BUGM’s) to ensure KPI's & budget goals are being met.
  • Liaise with MDA allied representatives within geography.
  • Hire & develop Regional Sales Managers within designated regions – 2-4 employees
  • Develop relationships with vertical call points at retail
  • Business Unit Accountability
    • Attend BU meetings to speak on team’s key learnings & opportunities
    • Coordinate quarterly blitzes & national priority focuses with BU-level leadership
  • Monitor business activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Develop action plans to ensure achievement of annual objectives.
  • Identify key decision makers for account management and contacts to coordinate the use of marketing programs, point of sale materials and sales promotion programs.
  • Audit account sales records to verify coverage information is accurate and that key contacts are listed.
  • Audit CRM tool results to ensure compliance
  • Adjust coverage responsibilities to ensure successful achievements of goals and objectives for targeted program initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                   

The Sr Regional Sales Manager may directly supervise anywhere between 2-4 employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Territory: This position will support the West Business Unit. We have local branches that you will need to visit for orientation and scheduled meetings

Position Shift and Schedule: This is a full-time permanent position working on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday.  Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required as scheduled.

  • A minimum of 4 years of CPG/beverage experience is preferred or bachelor’s degree
  • A proven track record of sales management experience & achievement
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills -- both written and verbal
  • Must have a car and be able to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ideal candidate lives within the assigned market
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lead in an extremely fast-paced and evolving hyper-growth environment
  • Experience working successfully within the constraints of a growing and changing business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & advanced Excel skills (ie: VLookups, SumIfs)
  • Business planning, analysis & understanding of IRI/Nielson and depletion data
