Job Description



The Sr. Financial Analyst position is responsible for core financial analysis and accounting activities for the Plains Region as part of KDP’s Direct Store Delivery (DSD) route-to-market. Responsibilities include providing finance support to both commercial and operational leadership, performing commercial/sales analysis to drive top-line revenue growth, as well as, provide operational analysis including region- and branch-level financial reviews, performing routine and project-based analyses, supporting functional teams with meeting operational compliance standards, and performing other ad-hoc tasks.

Detailed Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support Finance Manager with top-line volume and revenue analysis and reporting to provide insightful support to Sales, Revenue Growth Management and Marketing Development business partners with distribution & availability, innovation speed-to-shelf, competitive pricing analysis, retail execution and other sales analysis.
  • Prepare and enhance cost-side efficiency reporting, including labor and discretionary spend analyses.
  • Collaborate with operational partners to find savings opportunities, and work to implement, monitor and report on the results of these programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the Operational Compliance team.
  • Be available to all operational partners to help them understand their financial results.
  • Heavily assist in month-end close, flash reporting, preparation of journal entries, and working with finance partners across the company to ensure the P&L is accurately stated.
  • Play a key role in developing the Plains Region annual operating plan.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • BBA or BS Degree in Finance or Accounting required with strong understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Minimum three years CPG or relative business experience in finance or accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and take ownership of projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to small groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive commercial finance, accounting, or audit experience.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Extensive Excel modeling or VBA experience.
  • Experience with SAP, TM1 Cognos, MicroStrategy or BW platforms.
