Sanitation Technician 

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the beverage plant/facility's sanitation duties. Will operate automated cleaning and sanitation equipment on the processing lines as well as on the exterior of equipment and building surfaces and manually cleans equipment parts .  Prepares cleaning and sanitation chemicals.  Aseptically collects samples to validate sanitation procedure. Sweeps and washes floors. Cleans and sanitizes drains, pumps, hoses, ad bottle and can warmers. Maintains cleaning chemical storage area and sanitation records.

Position Details:

  • Located in our Bethlehem, PA facility.
  • Full time working on the 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.
  • The starting rate of pay for this position is $14.30 per hour.  There is an additional $0.35 per hour shift differential for the 2nd and 3rd shifts).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Keurig Dr Pepper safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Understand the use of production equipment so it can be properly cleaned and operated.
  • Operate automated CIP systems.
  • Perform basic cleaning on line, equipment and building utilizing general cleaning tools, mops, brooms, brushes, and shop vacuums.
  • Use cleaning and sanitation chemicals while maintaining safe handling practices.
  • Restock and replenish supplies as appropriate.
  • Perform general maintenance and other duties as assigned including but not limited to the disposing of trash and waste throughout the building.
  • Operate a fork truck and floor scrubber.
  • Record all data as required (i.e. charts, logs, etc).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • 6 months prior experience in fast-paced work environment in sanitation or housekeeping in the food/beverage or a similar industry
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
  • Clean-in-place (CIP) experience is preferred
