Job Description

R&D Knowledge Management provides our Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory and Manufacturing colleagues with information regarding the food products we create, manufacture and distribute.  We are the “librarians” that assist our product and packaging developers in “connecting the dots” using the knowledge we have accumulated - thereby enabling us to create products faster, safely and with the highest levels of sustainability.  This information improves the competitive advantage in innovation and creating our new products at Keurig Dr Pepper.

The primary role of the Knowledge Management Associate is to manage the day to day operation of our intellectual properties, our tools, data and processes to assist in continuously improving our knowledge, and to providing expert assistance to colleagues in their effective use.


May include some or all of these, and other duties as assigned.

  • Meeting with product developers and scientists to improve the information used in the system.
  • Provide end user training in our product lifecycle management tools and other systems as needed.
  • Develop and improve training and reference materials for effective use of our tools and processes.
  • Participate in various projects to improve our tools and processes.
  • Develop test cases and manage testing of system functions.
  • Administer the tool enhancement process. This includes:
    • Capturing user requests
    • Developing solution strategies
    • Assisting in prioritization
    • Shepherding changes through the development process
    • Testing
    • Training users on relevant changes.
  • Administer our document management system, ensuring that documents are correctly versioned, secured, filed and have appropriate metadata.
  • Implement data quality improvement projects as directed.
  • Handle logistics for training and learning events.
  • Maintain our project tracking system and assist project managers and senior leaders in getting the most value from this system.
  • Be point of first contact for users in resolving issues with our systems. Act as an intermediary between users and IT, providing value by analyzing and interpreting issues that arise, and bringing them to resolution.
  • Enforce and manage various internal processes and ensure process compliance. Provide input to process improvement programs.
  • Deliver specific regular reports to manager and customers.
  • Assist in fostering a collaborative learning culture within R&D.
  • Assist in developing and documenting our information infrastructure, taxonomy, metadata, data and knowledge standards.
  • Report to the Senior Manager of Knowledge Management.

Travel: less than 10%


  • Bachelor degree in Quality Systems, Knowledge Management, Food Science, Information Technology, Scientific disciplines such as Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.
  • One year or more of food or pharma related experience.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and precision. Able to manage multiple competing priorities, without letting things “slip through the cracks”.
  • Able to learn new skills quickly as an active and enthusiastic learner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and training skills. Able to impart skills in a manner appropriate to the needs of the user.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • “Can do” attitude and persistence through challenging circumstances.
  • Able to work both independently and in collaborative teams.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including Word, OneNote and Excel.
