Job Description



As the Quality Assurance Specialist for Partners you will provide QA guidance to the enterprise and will work to ensure alignment in the design and implementation of our Food Safety and Quality Management System with the expectations and requirements brought by Partners and major customers.  This position will support the development of new products, processes, equipment, and materials – as well as continuously improving the existing processes within our hot and cold channels

What you will do:

  • Act as the principal advocate for the relationship with Partner/key customer QA Departments
  • Work with Partners, key customers and license relationships to clarify and expectations, specifications, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide Multi-Site Quality Assurance support to the Partner Program team to ensure strong bilateral communication, advise of quality standards, and deliver superior service
  • Document and drive strategic Partner Quality initiatives
  • Document Partner-specific quality requirements for integration into Keurig Quality Management System.
  • Manage Customer Complaints and Unplanned Events to resolution for Partner/key customer issues.
  • Develop and report on Partner Quality metrics and facilitate corrective actions to resolve open issues.
  • Actively participate in Partner NPD commercialization team/continuous improvement initiative teams as primary Quality representative, designing test plans, gathering partner requirements, evaluating/summarizing trial testing data, and working cross-functionally to root cause and troubleshoot quality concerns that arise during trials.
  • As required, direct site quality technician activities in the performance of inspection and testing protocols as related to Partner needs.
  • Make decisions that are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of Keurig Quality’s relationship with individual Partners.


Requirements

What you must have:

  • Food Science or Technical degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years relevant Quality experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for developing relationships centered on mutual success
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Quality inspection methods and measurements, package engineering techniques and data analysis.
  • Passion for solving complex and unique problems
  • Demonstrated skill to directly and indirectly persuade/influence counterparts - both internally and externally to the function.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex projects and collaborate with project management across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Ability to produce fact based reports for qualification testing and decision making
  • Demonstrated strong abilities in the areas of: Quality Management Systems and applications (ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, GFSI, CQV, etc.), food regulatory and microbiology.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience as Project Leader and cross-functional team participant.
  • Experience with food manufacturing processes from a process controls, food safety/regulatory, sanitation, environmental, and microbiological standpoint.
  • Must be able to travel independently both within the US as well as internationally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
