The Allentown operation is a state of the art aseptic bottling and variety packaging facility along with a full beverage distribution center.  The site operation will function on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; and the power of High Performance Teams.  All associates at the Allentown site will have specific accountability and ownership to the site operations and to their respective functional business operation.  The site will run on state of the art enterprise information technology systems and manufacturing execution systems; and with highly automated processing equipment, packaging equipment, and material movement equipment; and very standardized lean processes. 

Production Materials and Planning Manager

As the Production Materials Manager you are responsible for managing the site manufacturing Purchasing and Scheduling Groups. This position is responsible for interfacing with multi-site planning and purchasing to ensure Sales, Inventory, and Operation Plans (SIOP) are translated into facility schedules that the materials used in the schedules are purchased at competitive price and are available to meet departments established weekly committed outputs. You will manage the scheduling and coordination of product and packaging trials. Effectively communicates with process improvement team and department managers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties with a safety first approach
  • Ensures work areas are clean and organized at all times
  • Lead and develop planning, purchasing and inventory management teams
  • Manage inventory forecasting and develop improvements with the team
  • Drives improvements to positively influence the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Manage Dashboards, and Scorecards relative to schedule adherence and on-time and in full delivery
  • Provides daily dispositions and resolutions to production schedule and output issues
  • Develops tools to acquire, trend and analyze efficient production output
  • Monitor and adjust weekly manufacturing schedules with staff to ensure team meets sales demand
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements working with Production Manager to ensure accurate staffing, and materials exist to meet SIOP demand
  • Efficiently schedules and communicates product and packaging trials
  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Work with multi-site scheduling /planning and inventory control department to ensure consistency in processes
  • Ensure that production planning, materials planning and inventory control processes are consistent with Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures and follow SOX controls.
  • Drives best practice implementation throughout materials team
  • Performs other duties as requested by management
  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures



  • Bachelor Degree preferred plus
  • 3 years’ experience in Management, in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP systems
  • Proficient in inventory control, purchasing, and scheduling methods in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or people management level experience with a team of 10 or more people
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a broad variety of departments.
  • Organizational and customer service skills essential.
