As Production Manager you are accountable for safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, continuous improvement and all aspects of people management for your assigned shift.   Proactively recommends and implements process improvement initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency and process reliability.  Manages and coordinates activities of coaches and   ensures that organization standards are met in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Growth.  The shift production manager role is to align and power teams in a way that excites and motivates them to meet/exceed performance objectives/goals. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the effective leadership and management of production coaches and 75+ hourly production technicians. 

What you will do:

-Responsible for delivery of production results for assigned zone.
-Directs and supports the daily management and prioritization tools to achieve Process Reliability and Production goals.
-Creates a cohesive organization for assigned shift via constant and regular interaction, direction setting and leadership support with area coaches and team members across all four shifts.
-Meets the needs of the customer 100% of the time while achieving key indicator results that support strategic objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSMs) for assigned shift.
-Leads problem solving events in findings true root cause to failures and problems in area and site.
-Participates in planning for technological and engineering improvements.
-Develops and ensures all procedures and best practices are documented and creates and atmosphere of 100% commitment to operational processes and procedures and continuous improvement using problem solving methodologies and established principals, including GMP, SQF practices and other guidelines to ensure safety and sanitation.
-Proactively recommends and implements process improvement initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies resulting in improved financial results.
-Creates and manages data reports, analyze and provide data to improve operational performance to include OEE, process reliability and labor optimization.
-Leads and develops approximately 4 direct reports (coaches) and 75+ hourly team members while fostering a team environment responsible for meeting or exceeding all production goals (safety, quality, cost, service, culture, and strategy).
-Provides support and coverage for Zone/ Area across all four shifts of operations. -Schedule rotation is necessary to provide support across all four shifts of manufacturing.
-Provides direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
-Develops and inspires others by building and maintaining relationships that motivate, guile, and/or reinforce the performance of others toward goal accomplishments.
-Participates in the creation and management of the annual production budget.

-Requires capacity and staff planning ability with variable and fixed expense planning experience.
-Performs ROI (Return on Investment) analysis cost justifying changes and process improvements.
-Oversees inventory control procedures and ensures accuracy goals are achieved, with operating policy and procedural documentation maintained and up to date.
-Works directly with Site Production Manager and cross-functionally with the Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Planning, Purchasing, HR, Distribution, Finance, and QC departments to improve quality, streamline efficiencies, reduce operating expenses, and improve inventory accuracy.
-Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
-Oversees process documentation and ensures employee training is consistent with policy and procedural guidelines.
-Evaluates direct reports’ performance on a continual basis and ensures coach staff completes performance reviews in a timely manner.
-Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by OSHA, Keurig Dr Pepper and the department as well as Federal and State regulations which includes the ability to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations regarding lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection etc.
-Responsible for ensuring the production of a safe, wholesome and quality product and requires trained designees when applicable.
-Supports the implementation of the TPM pillar processes throughout the area assigned and site.
-Performs other duties as requested by management

-In the occasions when persons in this role are absent, management has assigned resources to cover their nominated duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.



-Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or Food Science degree preferred 
-5 years of leading and management or supervisory role in a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment (food, beverage, and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience) with a focus managing of 30+ employees preferred.
-Experience developing, coaching, and motivating team members in a team-based manufacturing environment required.
-Formal leadership training and demonstrated practice of leadership principles required.
-Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of business decisions effecting staffing, product components, and inventory required.
-Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to assess risks and propose solutions to problems required.
-Extensive knowledge of packaging and processing equipment required.
-Experience with change-over and SMED processes preferred.
-Experience at leading a change initiative or championing a major component of a larger change preferred.
-Demonstrated working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and a firm knowledge of productivity tracking.
-Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamentals of lean manufacturing, pull and visual systems, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
-Overall knowledge and experience with SAP or similar systems
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively and interdependently with peer group, coach staff, scheduling, maintenance, and engineering departments.  
-Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and focused attention to detail.
-Planning, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
-Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems.
-Must be able to travel occasionally, work in a team environment, and occasionally work a flexible schedule.
