Job Description



Material Handler - D2 (Days)

As a Green Bean Loader you will gain a thorough knowledge of the coffee processing steps from receiving raw, green coffee through providing our packaging lines with product.  You will be responsible for several coffee processing steps. You will be cross trained in raw, green bean receiving, green bean loading, grinding, blending and flavoring.

What you will do:

  • Operate a forklift and other material moving equipment in accordance with safety requirements
  • Attentive to daily scheduling required to meet customer demands
  • Operate particle distribution analyzer
  • Perform all duties of green been loader (inventory cycle counts, loading green, unloading trucks, perform quality checks)
  • Perform all duties of a blender (maintain FIFO in the roasted silos, inventory cycle counts, rework coffee as needed)
  • Perform all duties of a flavor blender (apply appropriate flavoring to coffee, Inventory)
  • Perform all duties of a grinder (perform particle analysis, adjust grind recipes)
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment (with assistance of a maintenance tech)
  • Perform computer transactions in SAP
  • Utilize operator interface panels
  • Prepares machines for startup and shutdown procedures as necessary
  • Work to better themselves through attaining SCAA certifications
  • Responsible for ensuring the production of a safe, wholesome and quality product and requires trained designees when applicable.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • 1 year of certified forklift experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical skills using percentages and fractions while working with recipes
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch, climb stairs, and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions
