Job Description


Material Handler Forklift Operator

The Material Handler is responsible for general warehouse duties including the loading and unloading of trucks, scanning & recording shipping transactions, performing required trailer inspections, servicing the production line and assisting with inventory counts. Additional duties as required.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on 1st. Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as the business may need.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Operate propane (LP) powered, sit down, double wide forklift
  2. Perform loading and unloading palletized loads off trailers
  3. Utilize hand held scanners for proper loading and bill of lading generation
  4. Conducts trailer inspection by food quality standards
  5. Monitor empty pallets for conformity before placing on production line.
  6. Record all data as required (i.e. logs, trailer checks, bill of ladings and way bills). 
  7. Clean forklifts as required.  





  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Operate a forklift for a minimum of 6 months
  • 6 months logistics, warehouse or production in fast-paced work environment within the food/beverage industry or similar field
