Manager, Procurement Processes

The Manager, Procurement Processes is responsible for the team delivering operational support for KDPs Procurement Team.  This manager works cross-functionally and leads KDP’s Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Program including integration of the Supplier Quality System and Supplier On-Boarding processes and supporting tools such as SAP Ariba and Celonis.  This position will also collaborate within the Procurement Operations Team to optimize Procurement Systems and ensure the SPM process drives supplier compliance to KDP’s Supplier Code of Conduct.


What you will do:

  • Lead efforts to expand the SPM Program throughout KDP including process and tool development and training of all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Category Leads and Procurement Leadership to ensure effective Category Strategy Development and execution in categories determined by the Procurement Leadership Team.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement and supplier risk mitigation across the entire KDP supply base.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Team to ensure one fully integrated supplier on-boarding, monitoring, and assessment process.
  • Communicates changes effectively to the organization and ensures team is trained in all up-to-date practices.
  • Fully leverages the SAP Ariba System for Supplier On-Boarding, Risk Assessment and Mitigation, and Performance management and improvement.
  • Reports on team and supplier performance (ie supplier scorecards), identifies root causes of any issues, and creates CIPs to address shortfalls. Provides narrative analysis for all reporting.
  • Researches best practices for operational procurement and brings this research to the team, recommending actions to improve performance
  • Creates process and procedures and trains team members on these procedures.
  • Follow all KDP policies and procedures.


What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a buyer in a commercial setting, with prior experience dealing with both goods and service providers, as well as service contracts.
  • Minimum of 2+ years as a supervisor or manager preferred
  • Experience working with ERP systems, SAP and SAP Ariba preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing vendor relations and some negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and to determine and interpret business needs and to translate those needs into an effective action plan.
  • Proven ability to interact with management at all levels and to participate in setting strategic direction for the procurement team.
  • Understanding of key cost drivers and their influence on the pricing of the various buying categories
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines, lead a team of professionals and solve problems, both quantitative and qualitative.
