Job Description



The primary function of this position will be to assist in implementing a company wide program focused on the protection of company assets.  You will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, and day-to-day management of the corporate physical security operations team and programs. You will manage the guard force operational standards and improvement as well as coordination of the security operations center. You will work closely with the other corporate security team members as it relates to protective services, investigation and security systems & technology. You will report to a Corporate Security Director and have indirect reporting relationships within corporate security.The ideal candidate will not only have demonstrated experience in these areas, but will also have experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods or Beverage/Bottling industry, certification such as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and law enforcement experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, oversight and support to KDP security operations center and activity to ensure the protection of employees and physical assets, while ensuring efficient use of personnel and equipment
  • Mitigate significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization’s assets while optimizing costs
  • Provide consulting support and make recommendations to DSD and Supply Chain management regarding appropriate, timely and necessary improvements or enhancements to their facilities
  • Manage and provide guidance to the corporate security staff (guard services) in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across KDP to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to the company
  • Manage security vendor relationships including guard services and maintenance contracts to ensure that vendors and contractors are delivering quality services, and to make sure that all KDP requirements are being met
  • Ensure proper vendor identification, bidding, and budgeting to support the corporate security initiatives
  • Develop and implement KDP’s corporate security policies and programs
  • Prioritize multiple Corporate Security Initiatives
  • Develop and deliver preventative programs and services to protect against crime against persons, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property
  • Support Corporate Security team in their functional areas of workplace violence programs, travel security, risk intelligence, executive protection, labor strike response, and corporate investigations
  • Develops close relationships with law enforcement, international security agencies, and private sector counterparts
  • Identify tools and programs that will build consistency in KDP efforts to safeguard corporate assets
  • Develop and deliver security awareness, communication, and education for all KDP locations and employees


Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field from an accredited institution preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate security management and/or minimum of 5 years as a member of a security team with a major corporation or Fortune 500 company
  • Completion of a recognized security certification is a plus. Examples include but are not limited to: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI)
  • Experience working with and managing security systems (video, access control systems) at large facilities.
  • Experience designing security for new buildings or facilities, to include placement of access control systems, cameras, and visitor management systems, conducting risk assessments, and standing up security officers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
  • Experience with the following security technologies: Gallagher access control (transitioning to), Lenel access control (transitioning from), Milestone Video Management Software (transitioning to), Exacqvision Video Management System (transitioning from), and Axis cameras
  • Direct security experience with consumer packaged goods company including preference for beverage industry experience
