Job Description

Quality Lab Technician II – Pod Lab

In this role, the Quality Lab Technician II – Pod Lab is responsible to apply testing best practices to verify products and material dimensions to ensure customer expectations are met.  This person will work independently or with minimal direct supervision. This person will collect, document, and prepare test samples, conduct routine/non-routine testing activities, draft SOP's and test methods, summarize results/data, and contribute to data analysis, conclusions, and report preparation.


What you will do:


  • Apply mathematics, and physics skills in order to complete dimensional, optical, physical, and mechanical measurements
  • Operate, maintain, and possibly calibrate various lab apparatus and precision test equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient workplace.
  • Demonstrate an effective technological aptitude and be skilled in the proficient use of hand-tools and effective data-recording and communication computer skills.
  • Support all measurement requests from all KDP departments and programs.
  • Represent the team on strategic initiatives focused on continuous process improvement and manage assigned projects as required.


What you must have:

  • 2 years relevant lab experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software programs
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to complete work on tight timelines
  • Knowledge of statistics and how to read blueprints preferred
