Job Description



The HR Project Manager role is both a hands-on and strategic role that provides project leadership and support to Human Resources initiatives and projects. This role is critical in executing large-scale projects, managing change, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement while providing superior customer support. This role requires finely tuned project management expertise and the ability to understand key elements of the HR function. HR Business Partner experience and understanding is highly beneficial but not required. This role may serve the organization in a supporting, consultative manner as well as through managing and driving projects from initial concept through successful change management and final implementation.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop project plans in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders to execute strategic HR initiatives, distribute work among team members (including self, this role will also execute project deliverables), set expectations, and relentlessly drive the delivery of projects with excellence, on time and on budget
  • Partner with HR and Business project sponsors to bring definition to a project; facilitate development of requirements documents, project charter, stakeholder analysis; create project plan outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and timelines
  • Communicate status updates to appropriate audiences using a consistent cadence and format
  • Monitor and track project execution to success by driving team milestone completion; identifying and removing process and operational roadblocks; owning and consulting solution development with stakeholders, and escalating critical decisions to reach alignment
  • Own major end-to-end processes and events on a project, take initiative, and use problem solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
  • Build project governance structure including project leadership, project update process/cadence and escalation of critical decisions
  • Independently gather information from a variety of sources; to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered, and to deliver insights
  • Create comprehensive and effective change management strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project success
  • Establish partnerships and consult with key business stakeholders and HR team members to foster teamwork, collaboration, and learning within the HR team, contributing to a positive work environment
  • Provide feedback to project team members as necessary for high performance
  • Use broad knowledge of HR and include appropriate SMEs to lead team members in a manner that results in a cohesive and integrated solution
  • Facilitate problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes tied to business results


Requirements

What you must have:

  • Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology, tools, and best practices
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive of experience managing large-scale, complex projects. Human Resources experience is beneficial.
  • Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leaders
  • Possess strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and be able to evaluate broad impacts of within project activities
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others
  • A track record of project delivery for large, cross functional projects
  • Experience driving effective change management techniques and implementation including communications plans
  • Possess broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions
  • Experience with organizational design and process improvement
  • Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP or Agile certified
  • Knowledge of leading edge HR practices, trends and information, employee engagement strategies and innovative tactics being applied in the marketplace
  • Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
  • Comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment
  • Ability to develop and clearly and concisely present a professional product to multiple levels of management
  • Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Human Resources or related degree, Master’s preferred
  • Ability to uphold safety standards, participate in continuous process improvement on the job, and follow our manufacturing best practices
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions
  • Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures as well as our operating principles
  • Anticipated travel 25-50%
