The Division Sales Manager is responsible for the overall business results of the KDP brands distributed by Coca Cola Bottlers in the Southeast region of the U.S.  This Division Manager will lead the overall brand commercial strategies through collaborative planning processes and disciplines required to grow our overall revenue, volume and share performance of our brands while operating within assigned budgets and compliance disciplines.  They are also accountable for the coaching and capability development growth of their team, and for creating a high performance and One KDP Team culture.

This sales territory currently covers the Carolinas, Tennessee and parts of Arkansas, Mississippi, and Kentucky where Coca-Cola bottler ownerships have franchise rights to Dr Pepper and/or other KDP brands.  The primary call responsibility will be Coca Cola Consolidated Inc. and the other Independent Coca Cola/KDP bottlers in the Southeast markets and the role is based in Charlotte, NC.

Accountabilities

This Division Manager will lead a team that is accountable for growth performance across all channels of trade for their aligned franchise Coca-Cola Bottlers. 

At KDP we expect to accelerate the growth of our people and our brands through a high performance team and workplace environment.   Through the development and leadership of your team, and in working with your customers, you will develop plans that enable KDP core brand alignment, support innovation and brand specific marketing programs, and that unlock regional and local initiatives, which in total will enable the team to exceed annual revenue, volume and share goals for both KDP and our Coca Cola Bottling partners.

The Division Manager role is a key leadership role within KDP as it leads a team responsible for the total commercial plan that starts with the consumer in mind with the ultimate goal of being able to provide Dr Pepper where they want to consume it, when they want to consumer it and how they want to consume it.  Collaboration both internally and externally across all functions is critical to the success of the team and the business in meeting all goals – Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Legal.

Key Coverage Responsibility (with Team)

  • Consolidated Coca-Cola Corporate Office and Leadership Team
  • Independent Coca Cola/Dr Pepper Bottlers and Key Principals
  • Bottler Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Retail Leaders (and Teams)
  • Market Unit Leaders and/or Sales Center Managers (Operations Teams)

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership – coaching and development of others
  • Annual Joint Business Plans – collaborative strategies that enable our brands and our customers to win across channels and the marketplace
  • Retail and Channel Plans – accelerating brand growth in $, volume and share through implementation of brand and channel strategies in working with KDP, CASO and Bottler teams
  • Executional excellence of agreed plans across all retailers and channels of trade
  • Insights and Analytics – business performance, competitive assessment, and solutions oriented approach to win
  • Resource Management – responsible for annual investment plans in support of team operations, retail plans and market strategies designed to accelerate growth in the defined geographies


Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead self and others in a high performance environment
  • Excels in leading capability development and growth of others
  • 5+ Years of CPG and/or Beverage Industry experience with proven winning results, prior team and business leadership preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational/time management skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Software tools and software; technological competence is critical
