Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) utilizes a network of contract manufacturing partners and sub-tier suppliers in Asia Pacific (APAC) to produce Keurig® coffee makers (“appliances”) for sale in North America.  The Director of Procurement and Category Management is accountable for global procurement and spend management of $500 Million. This leader will ensure that the Appliance Business Unit’s supply chain partners support business needs and requirements for delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and KDP product roadmap.  This position will be responsible to ensure our supply chain partners meet on-time delivery, delivered cost, international trade/transport compliance, and adherence to our Supplier Code of Conduct.  This position is based in Singapore and reports to the Senior Director of Appliances Supply Chain.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Oversees team of Sourcing and Procurement professionals with responsibility for direct and indirect Category Management located in Singapore and Shenzhen, China.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage and maximize a total spend of approximately US$500M in Tier 1 and Tier 2 materials and services cost effectively purchase from a variety of preferred suppliers
  • Develop and implement a purchasing strategy that optimizes the total value chain by demonstrating a deep understanding of the overall business strategy and especially its relationship with suppliers
  • Identify, evaluate, select and manage suppliers using Supplier Performance Management (SPM) process and tools, leveraging cross-functional resources to ensure a stable and optimized supply network
  • Lead SPM activities including achievement of KPIs, execution of continuous improvement initiatives, and conduct of quarterly business reviews with key supplier partners to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
  • Integrate and collaborate with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure the supply network remains focused on service, supply, quality, and cost reductions
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers to create a partnership culture
  • Build and lead the required organizational structure and management team
  • Develop and instill a change management attitude across the company that is supportive and compliant of a centralized global strategic procurement group
  • Ensure company-wide use of best practices through the integration of technology and information systems affecting value, reliability, quality and cost of procurement services
  • Review, monitor, and update procurement and supply chain performance metrics around applicable areas:  cost reduction, inventory management, quality, customer feedback and supplier evaluation to meet the changing needs of Appliances Business Unit and Coffee Systems operating segment
  • Ensure excellence in execution, high efficiency, and best practices across the organization
  • Actively contribute to identify best solutions and opportunities and foster transparent communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities within the group are in compliance with company strategy and appropriate ethical and legal standards.


Requirements

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA, BS in a relevant discipline, MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progression in procurement responsibilities and senior leadership in a complex multi-site manufacturing environment.  Experience in a CPG, food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience as Project Leader and cross-functional team participant.
  • Demonstrated skill to persuade/influence directly and indirectly-both internally and externally to the function.
  • Financial acumen and rapid diagnostic commercial skills.
  • Budget management experience
  • Advanced negotiation training & skills
  • High interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced facilitation and communication skills
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
  • Ability to uphold Safety standards, participates in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follows our Manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.
  • Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department/team and creating a positive climate where people want to do their best.

  • Must be Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who resides in Singapore except for temporary absences; or. Foreigner who has stayed / worked in Singapore for 183 days or more in the previous year

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
  • Travel requirements 25-50%
  • Regular interaction (8-12 hours / week) with North American ABU leadership team and resources during early morning / late evening hours
