We’re looking for a strategic, business process and customer experience-oriented HR Operations leader who will continue to drive our HR service delivery transformation at KDP. As the Director, HR Operations, you will have strategic and operational oversight for all of our core HR processes and data. You will have a relentless focus on and passion for operational efficiency and customer experience and with your team will develop innovative improvement ideas for both current and future challenges we encounter. Success in this role requires end-to-end system thinking, deep understanding of the views and needs of a variety of stakeholders, and the ability to lead and influence often cross-functional efforts that will set the right foundation for our customers, HR team, and partner functions.


What you will do:

  • Lead a Team:
    • Energize and engage the HR Operations team of ~25 to achieve our vision for HR operations and service delivery.
    • Manage the performance and development of the talent within the team through continuous feedback, coaching, and work assignments.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership within the team and across the HR function, driving high quality employee experiences and cultivating a “OneKDP” team mindset.
  • Improve HR Operational Effectiveness and Customer Experience:  
    • Apply your passion, energy, and innovative thinking to a relentless focus on improving our HR operation and the experience of our customers – KDP employees, mangers, and our HR community.
    • Seek and leverage customer voice, data analytics, and best practices to identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities.
    • Maximize the use of our HR tools and technology, including Workday and ServiceNow.
    • Lead the design and implementation of processes and solutions that are simple, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Manage a Portfolio of Operational and Improvement Projects:
    • Use a combination of HR and business expertise, data, technology, collaboration and teamwork to ensure we provide well-crafted solutions in service of our mission.
    • Provide oversight and structure to HR Operations projects with an objective to ensure success through an integrated and structured portfolio, providing visibility to stakeholders and rigor to plan, execute and deliver with speed and excellence.  
    • Engage stakeholders including customers and partners within HR and adjacent functions to define project objectives, deliverables and scope.
    • Lead and/or participate in large scale and cross-functional transformation and improvement projects.


What you must have:

  • Drive: develop and drive the thinking and achievement of HR operations agenda. Ability to manage complex projects and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver results on-time and on-budget in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Leadership: lead cross-functional teams, realize new opportunities, and succeed against aggressive goals.
  • Influence: define and present innovative ideas to executive leaders and peers and get buy-in to support your big ideas. Strong communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills. Confident and articulate, with strong executive presence.
  • Technological savvy: deep understanding of best in class HR and service delivery technologies and experience leveraging them to streamline operations and improve customer experience. Experience with Workday and ServiceNow required.
  • Innovative thinking: ability to understand and translate complex business challenges and requirements into innovative solutions. Pragmatic problem-solver. Solution oriented.
  • Results-oriented: drive to exceed goals, execute consistently, and deliver outstanding results. A proven track record as a results-oriented business leader who consistently demonstrates learning agility, ambition, emotional intelligence, and business acumen.
  • Subject matter expertise: proven experience leading HR service delivery transformation and scaling to service a broad employee base with excellence.
  • Passion: demonstrate a passion for the employee experience, culture, mission, and vision. Enlist others to care about this experience and how it can be leveraged to drive business results.
  • Data-driven: uses employee and behavioral data and analytics to inform decisions, plans and actions. Ability to analyze trends, data, and leverage organization statistics and performance to influence our HR operations strategy and roadmap.
  • Agile: courageous and self-aware leader who inspires others. Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Curious: lifelong learner who continuously explores new concepts and ideas and how they might apply to the HR agenda.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; MBA or other advanced business learning or coursework also preferred.
  • Experience: our ideal candidate possesses 15+ years of HR experience that includes leading HR service delivery transformation and scaling large HR operations programs.
