Job Description



As a chemical engineer, you will work closely with cross functional teams local and abroad, to deliver exciting new home and commercial appliances for one of the world’s largest beverage companies. Focusing on the ultimate beverage experience, you will be the subject matter expert for our appliance team joining the science to the sensory experience. You will consult with engineers and scientists providing them with valuable insights and data informing the algorithms that power our systems. You will have the ability to work in a state-of-the-art lab facility interfacing with engineers and technicians while providing valuable input into the way we analyze information. Communication, collaboration and influence are key attributes for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the advanced development and sensory teams in support of R&D projects for beverages and water
  • Provide analysis and document results that relate beverage development to science
  • Understand water types and how they affect the brewing process
  • Conduct/facilitate training across the organization as required.
  • Recommend and maintain lab analysis equipment, test methods and procedures
  • Be the resident expert on the chemical makeup of water and beverages
  • Work on multiple projects and teams in support of advanced development activities
  • Provide direction and assistance to technicians in support of lab requests
  • Understand accuracy and limitations of test equipment


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 5+ Years or relevant experience
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a chemical lab
  • Familiarity with test methods: Acid-Base End Point Titration, Atomic Spectroscopy, Colorimetry, Electrical Conductivity measurement in liquids
  • Knowledge of HPLC is a plus
  • Experience working with a global team and matrixed environment
  • Experience working with others to achieve results
  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for safety
  • Strong project management, organizational leadership, and documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities
  • Experience in food, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or appliance manufacturing industries is a plus
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Ability to follow Keurig Dr. Pepper policies and procedures
