Batcher

The Batcher is responsible for preparing and mixing of appropriate ingredients required to produce finished syrup from calculation for bottling, canning, and premix/post-mix operations based upon number of cases and tanks scheduled for production each shift. Shift & Schedule: This position is open on 3rd Shift, Flexibility to work overtime, any weekday/weekend or holiday is necessary.  Compensation:This position pays $17 per hour plus full benefits package eligibility.
 Position Responsibilities
  • Work well in a team atmosphere
  • Batch beverages right the first time within all specifications for each recipe
  • Read charts and labels and record ingredients on paper
  • Consistently and correctly compute math up to an algebraic level
  • Measure wet and dry ingredients in standard and metric units of measure
  • Properly store and inventory ingredients
  • Comply with all safety standards
  • Must be able to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds as needed without assistance
  • Must be able to work standing up for periods up to eight hours
  • Must be capable of climbing stairs and ladders, crawling, bending and squatting
  • Strictly adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Strictly adhere to all hazard analysis and critical control points and preventive controls
  • Operate a fork lift and scissor lift
  • Understanding of theory of operations for pumps, motors and valves and perform basic troubleshooting preferred
  • Work additional hours beyond normal shift as needed

Requirements

  • Prior solid Batching experience required
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50 Ibs
  • Computer experience
  • Experience operating a water treatment system
  • 1 to 2 years food production operation and/or compounding experience preferred 
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift truck is desired.
