Job Description

As the Associate Manager of Coffee Commercialization, you will play a key role in the team responsible for the commercialization of our Keurig portfolio of hot beverage brands.  You will support implementation of multiple processes and practices that allow for the entire portfolio of Keurig manufactured brands to go to market in an efficient, timely and coherent manner.  Your ultimate goal is to drive success with our shoppers, customers and partners by helping to drive a commercial hot beverage strategy that is coherent across channels and optimized to deliver supply chain efficiencies.  You will need a strong process orientation to ensure that your detailed plan is fully communicated and flawlessly executed.

You will report to the Director of Coffee Commercialization and will support multiple stakeholders including sales, brand marketing, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), supply chain and partner teams.  You will be assigned a subset of channels/customers by the function lead.  For these assigned channels, you will support a range of commercialization actions from the development of channel strategy all the way down to executional Key Performance Indicator (KPI) setting.   You will work closely with your colleagues in appliance commercialization to ensure that the sales team has an integrated view of beverage and appliance priorities, programming and KPIs.

What you will do:

•Understand and prioritize the different drivers of success by priority customer.  Collaborate with category management, RGM and the sales teams to identify and prioritize the relevant activities and tactics required to succeed by channel.

•Help drive the annual calendar of brand activations and ensure that the required cross functional activity is in place to support the overall strategy.

•Support the definition of your assigned channel(s)’ perfect outlet standards, i.e. a “Picture of Success”, for our coffee brands.  Collaborate with shopper insights, category management, RGM, sales and brand marketing to account for key shopper insights, portfolio priorities and customer sensitivities. 

•Help drive the “Picture of Success” through the organization and into our executional partners to ensure that it is well understood and supported with the appropriate commercial programming.

•Support the weekly hot beverage communication process to the sales team around upcoming activations and developments to the annual plan. 

•Support the beverage commercialization team’s preparations for and submissions to the hot beverage portions of the wider stage gate process. 

•Support the SKU End of Life process that starts from the retail shelf and works back to the supply chain.  Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the process is well understood by the cross functional teams involved in the process.

•Partner with sales, shopper marketing, RGM, shopper insights and finance to drive continuous improvement of lift levels and promotional efficiency.


What you must have:

•Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience, MBA and minimum 2 years of experience, in sales, sales strategy, brand marketing or other related field.

•Ability to work across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive improvement in business performance.

•Ability to drive complex processes from beginning to end.

•Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build stakeholder trust in your approach.

•Prefer experience on a customer team for a “Fortune 500” company, or in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage or related industries.

•Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to lead thinking in a fast-paced and changing environment.
