Job Overview:

This role is responsible for the development, management and execution of philanthropic/community relations activities and processes in support of KDP’s corporate responsibility goals and objectives. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Community Relations.

Accountabilities: 

  • Manage all facets of our flagship philanthropic program Let’s Play, which includes managing nonprofit/agency partners, event planning and project management, communications, budgets and reporting.
  • Develop a process to manage, track and report in-kind donations (non-saleable/obsolescence) to key nonprofit partners.
  • Oversee and respond to charitable requests via our online charitable donation request system.
  • Provide support, as needed, to other projects and programs including our annual matching gifts campaign.
  • Work closely with key internal and external (e.g., branch manager, HR business partners, KDP customers and partners, etc.) stakeholders to ensure participation/support of our philanthropic activities.
  • Seek to improve the quality of our overall charitable giving program by introducing new ideas, continuously improving existing philanthropic activities and drawing on industry best practices.

  • The ability to think outside of the box and be innovative to reach goals and help grow programs and/or improve processes.
  • Proven experience in project management and event planning.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, effectively managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously while still paying close attention to details and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal a skills with the ability to be influential at all levels across a large, geographically-diverse organization.
  • A “can-do” attitude who supports and motivates others, as well as acts on own initiative.
  • Good understanding of philanthropy/community relations-related trends and best practices.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing, organizing and executing large-scale initiatives, for a Fortune 500 company
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, nonprofit management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate data (e.g., create formulas and pivot tables, do V-lookups and concatenations, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel for business as needed (10-15%).
