Job Description

KDP Ireland – a leading producer and distributor of hot and cold beverages – is excited to announce the establishment of a new beverage concentrate manufacturing facility in County Kildare, outside of Dublin, in Ireland. We’re now looking for great talent to build our Ireland team to work in this new best-in-class facility.


As the Senior Flavorist, you will be responsible for flavor development and commercialization, manufacturing site support, coaching and mentoring for junior personnel and coordinating with other global R&D members. You will effectively participate in cross-functional teams and have an understanding of the project management processes that will be required.

You should also possess good problem-solving skills and show strong leadership and influencing capabilities in making data driven project/business decisions. You will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently in this role.

In the role of the Senior Flavorist, you will:


  • Develop flavor solutions across a wide range of global beverages
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the concentrate manufacturing facility
  • Participate on global projects and cross functional teams as a SME for Flavor Technology
  • Support the VP Research & Development in executing strategic global initiatives
  • Manage the Flavor Technology laboratory area and maintain inventory of raw materials
  • Serve as flavor expert in plant start-up operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements where flavors will be sold
  • Follow proper laboratory GMP protocols, lab safety, and general lab cleanliness and maintenance


In order to be successful in the role of Senior Flavourist, you will have a:


  • Minimum of B.S. degree preferably in Food Science, Chemistry or related field of study
  • Relevant experience in Food/Flavor Industry
  • Flavor creation experience in beverages is highly desirable
  • Strong skills in Gas Chromatography (GC)/ Mass Spectrometry (MS) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis and interpretation as it applies to flavors and food analysis is desired
  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems would be desirable
  • Some knowledge of Optiva or similar PLM tool would be an advantage
  • Excellent oral, written, influencing and communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
