Finance Senior Director Finance Emerging Brands

Location: Plano, TX                                                                    

Reporting to:  SVP Commercial Finance

This newly created position is part of the Emerging Brands leadership team and is responsible for providing strategic and financial leadership to a ~$0.7Bn+ rapidly growing emerging brands business across different channels (own DSD, Third Party Distributors, WD) as well as being heavily involved in strategic partnership development/acquisition for new brands.  This position manages a team (team subject to the size of the Emerging Brands portfolio evolution) and works closely with the Finance and Commercial teams that are supporting the different “Route to Market” Business Units (DSD, ISO, WD etc).

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Act a business partner to the emerging brands leadership team by providing strategic and financial leadership and support cross functionally over Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing (Brand Building) and Operations.
  • Develop and report on quality metrics and analytics to influence effective decision making in achieving exponential top-line growth while delivering the Operating Income plan. This includes but not limited to strategic pricing and retail execution metrics, new business development opportunities, expense management, right-sizing service levels, etc.
  • Support Emerging Brands M&A activities (a key growth driver)
  • Participate on Emerging Brands leadership meetings and Business Reviews, Trade Board Review meetings, National and Regional Account Business Reviews and other special project steering committees to ensure financial plan and strategic goals are being achieved.
  • Develop and establish a High Performance team and culture in a fast moving operating environment
  • Build the Annual Operating Plan and Revised Forecasts (in co-operation with the various Route to Market BUs) to achieve company strategic and financial goals
  • Support Business Cost Management (BCM) process to build the plan and targeting value capture opportunities in order to be reinvested into the company.
  • Lead, participate and support KDP Transformation Projects in Finance, Emerging Brands and other functional areas.
  • Routinely meet and visit operations to better understand voice of customer and conduct process observations to continuously improve financial support to the commercial operational customers, achieve strategic and financial goals and find opportunities to eliminate waste.



  • BBA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA/MSc in Finance a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years related finance within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Management experience over Financial Forecasting, Planning & Analysis functions required
  • Excellent Leadership Skills required including drive, decision making, self-direction, influence, presentation and verbal/written communications
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization
  • Strong analytical and technical skills – must be able to model business requirements and prepare 'what-if' analyses. Good understanding of business process and analysis tools  
  • Willing to travel 50%+
