Regional Account Executive

The Regional Account Executive (RAE) manages large and small format retailers. This person will sell the core Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) product portfolio, as well as allied brands into regional grocery and convenience accounts.  The RAE will serve as a key member of the sales team who contributes to the strategic direction of the customer relationship.

The RAE will support Southeastern Grocers, Gate, and other assigned accounts and will report to the Director of Regional Accounts.  

This individual must proactively partner with internal KDP resources that influence and help drive execution of the strategic plan and assist with budget management to maximize results and return on investment.  This role will own the customer relationship and be responsible for driving volume, profit and share growth by delivering upon the company and the retailer’s objectives.  Key areas of focus: Distribution and availability of our key brands and packages, excellence in display execution and retail conditions, and everyday price and promoted price compliance.

Location and Travel

This role will be located in the Jacksonville corporate office and will require some travel. Relocation is currently not available.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage assigned regional grocery, convenience and co-op chains with responsibility for driving sales, profit, and share in assigned accounts.
  • Develop short and long term joint business plans (JBP) for assigned chains by engaging multi-functional internal support teams including; Revenue Growth Management, Shopper Marketing, Shopper Insights, Finance, --Category Management and the Distributor Systems to plan, align, sell and execute the plan in accordance with account needs and KDP plan.
  • Manage the entire promotional process from planning, to development, to execution, ensuring all retailer timelines are met, deliverables executed and communication is sent both internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain strategic business partnerships, with your retailers, category management, shopper marketing, sales operations and revenue margin management teams.
  • Build a strategic annual operating plan (AOP) using syndicated data, trade audit information and brand insights.
  • Develop fact-based selling presentations that address opportunities and solutions that will close the gaps associated with distribution, availability, feature/display penetration, pricing and overall merchandising support.
  • Penetrate and develop strong relationships with key personnel at customer HQ, district, and store level operations.
  • Weekly trade visits to measure program execution and monitor competitive activity.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 years consumer package goods (CPG) experience
  • 2 years key account experience
  • 2 years’ experience using IRI, Nielsen Scantrack, or other syndicated data
  • 5 years’ experience using MS Office products like PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
  • Valid driver's license
