Manager of Social Media is responsible for defining strategies and building annual consumer brand media plans for our portfolio of brands by understanding the consumer’s needs to drive relevance and loyalty to our brands.  This person will have managed multiple brands with multiple campaigns and will report into the Sr. Director of Media of Keurig Dr Pepper’s In House Media team.  The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of social media experience and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.


Develop and execute social media strategy

  • Partner with brand & data science teams to determine audience strategies and media goals and deliver high-impact social media initiatives across KDP’s portfolio of brands
  • Proactively collaborate with National media teams to properly supplement and complement of National & Local media campaigns in order to maximize reach and impact
  • Act as subject matter expert within KDP marketing for social media buying and related media functions in order to develop best-in-industry cross-channel media buying strategies
  • Execute, hands on keyboard, social media campaigns with social media partners for Brand and Omnishopper campaigns.

Lead and Support a High-Performing Team

  • Deploy subject matter expert mindset to execute best in class social media strategies. Leverage strong commercial knowledge and business acumen to deliver annual brand social media plans.
  • Deliver coaching and mentorship of internal media team members through situational leadership and candid growth conversations in order to develop broader understanding of the industry and best practices around enterprise-level campaign planning processes.
  • Act as internal SME and primary owner of media campaigns to set an example for excellence and inspire others to take action through authentic leadership, passion, and commitment to winning.

Measure Success

  • Own and manage social media budgets and work with cross-functional partners, including finance, to deliver on target.
  • Set high performance standards, measure for success, and adjust plan to deliver against growth agenda.
  • Lead post-launch analyses for initiatives in order to drive innovation, refine and develop strategies, and become the industry leader in social engagement.
  • Ensure all data requests related to social media are met before launch based on pre-determined learning agenda in order to maximize learnings and contribute to essential analysis initiatives.
  • Manage platform contacts and ensure proper data elements are made available within the KDP data visualization platform in order to steer strategic insight and planning optimization.

Manage Social Platform Teams and Partners

  • Lead KDP teams to properly execute social media plans, strategies, optimization metrics, budgets, and audiences with multiple campaigns across our portfolio, each exceeding $1MM+
  • Leverage deep understanding of platforms and management of campaigns to provide hands on training and consistent dialogue that supports the media buying team in executing daily operations, including optimization and pacing
  • Manage DMP team to ensure proper tagging of KDP brand sites as well as all media placements to develop accurate tracking and data collection foundations
  • Oversee ad operations functions (site tags, media tags, viewability tags, tag QA, and tag trafficking) to ensure the success of media initiatives
  • Develop and oversee adherence to QA procedures, launch processes, and campaign reviews in order to build an efficient and effective media buying team

Work with DMP & CDP platforms and audience segments

  • Partner with internal teams (Media, Data Science, Insights, Brand) to determine and act upon learning and measurement agendas
  • Oversee data collection structure and taxonomy within the DMP
  • Oversee the creation and syndication of audiences within the DMP in conjunction with Brand goals and Media objectives
  • Integrate Reach and Frequency monitoring, optimization, and reporting within the DMP through 3rd party partner
  • Facilitate sharing of data and reporting within the DMP to inform Insights and Media teams

Lead ongoing education and learning objectives within media team and broader marketing organization

  • Deploy deep industry knowledge and platform experience to grow the team’s functional understanding and proficiency within the social media ecosystem to allow the team to gain efficiency and skill.
  • Leverage planning capabilities, management experience, and innovation mindset to lead the team’s transition from managed services with agency partners to hands on keyboard media buying
  • Lead training initiatives and knowledge sharing to uplevel local media buying teams and increase social platform proficiency across the business

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of digital media experience with 2+ years of social media. Hands on keyboard campaign management experience is a must as this person will be required to assists and oversee a team buyers.
  • Experience with buying platforms Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest and TikTok and data platforms such as Datorama and Salesforce
  • Strong working knowledge of buy side process and technologies including surveys, data collection, verifications, cookie matching and social platforms 
  • Strong analytical skills; ability analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented with ability to manage your own agendas
  • Experience planning, managing and analyzing media campaigns exceeding budgets of $1MM+
  • Experience leading teams of media buyers & planners and managing the full lifecycle of a digital campaign 
  • This role is based at the KDP Plano, TX office location. 
  • Limited travel, less than 5% of time.
