Materials Coordinator - Williamson, NY

Responsible for purchasing, inspecting and storing parts for beverage production machines and supporting equipment. Purchases and maintains chemicals and supplies. Acquires needed parts from local suppliers. Determines proper stock levels of commonly used parts, schedules orders, maintains parts/stock records and parts room. Assists mechanics in determining correct parts for equipment.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  2. Creates improvements to the inventory process in order to meet standards and drive efficiency by ensuring that proper communication and reporting of inventory will initiate early notification of impending problems.
  3. Reviews the root cause analysis of SAP Inventory Transaction Work Flows, creating corporate inventory standards and targets with metrics to support continuous improvement.  Presents period metrics to Senior level management. 
  4. Manages adjustments to SAP for inventory transactions to ensure the inventory is accurate and posts to the General Ledger.
  5. Audits inventory transactions with comparison to corporate standards and manage assigned investigative analysis to lead efforts to provide the appropriate resolutions.
  6. Supervises the process that documents any failures that result in lost inventory, and reviews carrier, operations, and claims for inventory losses and/or damaged goods.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies and procedures of the Company and standards established by OSHA.
  8. Responsible for inventory accuracy (target of 98.5%) by scanning bins a minimum of once quarterly.
  9. Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  10. Reconcile all differences.
  11. Determine and report causes for each discrepancy.
  12. Ensure that all products are stored at the prescribed storage heights.
  13. Ensure that the Bins/Product storage master file is accurate in SAP WMS.
  14. Process customer returns back into the RDC inventory.
  15. Oversee the planning, executing and tracking of all inbound STOs for RDC as well as any additional sites that falls under sites responsibility.
  16. Reconciliation of third party sites inventory that fall under sites responsibility.


  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • 1 year of experience with automated warehouse management systems (SAP, Route Manager). 
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • 1 year of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods distribution center.
  • 1 year of experience with direct people management/supervision in a distribution center.
