Lead Shipping Coordinator

The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting a full beverage distribution center.  Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location.  The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of High Performance Teams.  All associates at the Spartanburg site will have accountability to both a functional business unit in addition to the full site operation.  The site will run on first-in-class enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.

SUMMARY: 

As a DC Team Associate III you will lead the work for your assigned shift. This entails running the necessary reports to properly account for the releasable orders in the Order Management system. You will provide technical expertise and timely processing of all transactions and team interaction as it pertains to inventory accuracy. Distribution Center shipping to all points will flow through and be monitored by this position. All open orders and intercompany transfers for each day are to be reconciled for the output of the manufacturing operation business units. Provides communication, direction and proactive attention to the inventory accuracy processes and provides support and guidance to the system-end users. All interactions with fellow team members are to be aligned with the work performed on soft skills, team building, communication, feedback and resolution as it pertains to the site.

Shift and Schedule:
This position is located in our Spartanburg, SC facility. This is a full time position that will be on our Nights schedule. .Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.  Compensation: Starting pay for this role is $22.31/hr  Benefits: KDP offers a very competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, Beverage Benefit, & so much more!   • Leadership/Supervisory experience 
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, TPM
  • Focus on Safety
  • Experience with helping develop processes and procedures
  • Logistics and Distribution Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead team of technicians to complete daily work, including but not limited to, scheduling outbound loading, accommodating time off/vacation, delegating responsibilities and work assignments, as well as communicating and driving KPIs and metrics.
  • Schedule carriers into the building and interact with onsite rider liaison.
  • Respond to inquiries from Order Management dealing with demand for the business unit.
  • Respond to notifications for order modification. Inter-unit transfers will be used to replenish the 3PL and other business unit requirements.
  • Systematically forward production output to the appropriate business unit.
  • Reconcile all orders that have been released to ship at each business unit in system.
  • Responsible for creating SOPs and work instructions.
  • Support teams with collaborative plans to improve the flow of materials.
  • Participate in testing process for system updates and upgrades.
  • Responsible for adhering to all TPM initiatives throughout the site.
  • Must follow all Keurig Dr Pepper and Safety policies, procedures and programs.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience working in transportation logistics in a warehouse distribution environment.
  • 3 years of working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • 3 year experience with automated warehouse management systems.
  • Previous work with continuous process improvement and Lean tools preferred (value stream analysis, 5S)
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds frequently with mechanical assistance; ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally; ability to push/pull up to 1,500 pounds using supplied equipment
  • Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work
