Job Description

As a Knowledge Management Specialist II you will be help bring positive change to the Keurig Dr. Pepper Appliance business. The Knowledge Management Specialist II will have experience in BoM management, document control, a solid understanding of engineering document management processes, organization skills, understanding revision control and archiving. You will play a pivotal role in making our product development process efficient and accurate, while enabling our products to be best in class for cost, quality, and performance. We are looking for a passionate candidate that is consistently trying to find ways to eliminate waste and streamline operations. 


What you will do:

  • Create a knowledge/design capture and reuse protocol to be used throughout the Product Lifecycle.
  • Schedule and execute projects with cross functional teams
  • Implement, train, and maintain taxonomy for optimal search and navigation of knowledge
  • Pursue and execute continuous improvement opportunities with a focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process Improvements.
  • Works with subject matter experts to develop and curate content collections and identify content gaps
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and improvements in the sharing of knowledge by analyzing existing processes, procedures, data storage, and tools.
  • Promotes the use of knowledge management solutions
  • Complete product definition activities such as creating product data models / Bills of materials (BOM's), following-up with content owners & authors on required information/data, including reference information.
  • Complete Engineering Change Requests and Notices (ECRs/ECNs) as required.
  • Execute excellent collaboration skills and willingness to be the steward our standards in support of engineering.
  • Participate in the publication of Policies, Procedures, Training Materials, and Standards for efficient document management.
  • Demonstrate a strong information management aptitude and be skilled in the effective use of company software and PLM/database systems.
  • Ensure all Product information is clear, concise, complete, and accurate.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to projects and timelines.
  • Work in a matrixed environment and work within a global team.


What You Must Have

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Technology or Technical Information Management Discipline, or equivalent experience, required
  • Ability to lead a cross functional project to completion
  • Experience in PLM
  • Experience working in Product Data Management tools (ex.Siemens Teamcenter)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
  • Computer skills: spreadsheet, Visio (or similar), word processing, PowerPoint, e-mail, collaboration systems. Basic database administration knowledge and skills.
  • Experience with taxonomy and Knowledge Management
  • Basic familiarity with CAD files is a plus
  • Enjoys working in a fast, High-Performance Team environment, learning new tools and processes and being flexible
