Job Description

Keurig Dr. Pepper is seeking a senior level industrial designer to join our expanding Asian development center in Shenzhen. This will be the first member of Keurig’s design team located in Shenzhen, and will help shape the department’s international design strategy and processes.


• Serve as the lead designer in our Shenzhen development center.

• Support the transition of new product development programs from the US to Shenzhen.

• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure development programs achieve design intent through mass production.

• Evaluate the aesthetic quality and craftsmanship of pre-production builds and coordinate with engineering teams, contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure design intent targets are maintained through mass production.

• Develop detailed design intent specifications and CMF documents.

• Lead new product design activities working within Keurig’s VBL and CMF strategy.

• Manage our CMF strategy by investigating consumer trends and documenting supplier capabilities.

• Keep us ahead: Seek out best-in-class production methods, input devices, finish & decorative technologies, and cost savings measures to ensure KDP is the category leader.

• Approve colors for accuracy, repeatability, and color-fastness and assist in appliance color selection and qualification.

• Approve all artwork for appliances and consumer facing packaging.

• Manage ambiguity and complex problems. Create solutions that are simple, elegant and technically feasible.



• Bachelor's Degree in industrial design or related engineering field

• 12+ years of industry experience

• 7+ years of design for manufacturing experience

• Experience working with an international design team based in the US.

• Strong aesthetic sense and artistic skill

• Advanced knowledge and understanding of material costs and finishes, manufacturing processes, tooling methods and assembly methods.

• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers.

• Must have experience leading the development of multiple products that have reached mass production (products should be listed in resume).

• Expert level communication, collaboration and influencing skills.

• Proficient in spoken and written English (expert level).

• Experience managing competing priorities and multiple development programs simultaneously.

• Expert skills with 3D CAD modeling, rendering and visual creation software platforms such as Solidworks, KeyShot, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

• Experience working on electro-mechanical appliances with digital user interfaces. Preferably home appliances
