Job Description



Filler Operator 

The Filler Operator is responsible for operating high speed filling and bottling equipment in a carbonated soft drink facility. Will conduct supporting tests on product that are being produced to ensure quality integrity to our consumers and maintain documentation of machine production and its performance. Will conduct pre-inspection and post cleaning of equipment when required and will also be trained to operate all supporting pieces of production equipment. Support in training other employees on production equipment.

Position Details

  • Located at our Bethlehem, PA facility.
  • Full time position, 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Starting rate of $15.69 / hour.

Position Responsibilities

  • Operates machinery at its highest efficiency.
  • Works with maintenance staff to ensure machine efficiencies are optimized.
  • Assures all work performed is done within a safe manner.
  • Assures all work performed with an attention to quality and food safety.
  • Assists supervisor and lead operators in training employees on equipment and procedures.
  • Ensures SOP’s are being followed
  • Participates in root cause/ corrective action activities
  • Ensure all production materials are available.
  • Provides relief coverage to other line operators when needed.
  • Monitor line for defective materials and perform any other related work in accordance with line quality.
  • Perform intermediate math (i.e. calculate percentages).


Requirements

  • Mechanical equipment background
  • 1 year prior experience with high-speed production machinery preferably in the beverage or food industries 
  • Familiar with Lean principles
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
