Job Description

The Keurig Appliances team is engineering a better cup of coffee. The team is the heart of an initiative transforming the iconic brand for the next era. We’re bringing Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, and Edge Computing to innovative new products.

Working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and systems-oriented environment, the Engineering Manager will be involved in all phases of Keurig Appliance development – system architecture, firmware development, control systems, design verification and ongoing support of production. They will also hire and develop team members to grow their technical and leadership experience while advancing business objectives.

Job Duties:  

  • Establish top-level project timelines & budgets for system development
  • Personnel management and career development of engineering team
  • Continuously improve tools and best practices for development activities
  • Utilize agile, iterative approaches to manage development efforts
  • Oversight of system development through mentoring and technical reviews
  • Contribute to prototyping, design and testing of new Keurig appliances
  • Provide active support for appliance production
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required



  • B.S. Computer Engineering or Computer Science required, MS preferred
  • 8+ years embedded firmware/software design experience, including 2+ years in a management role
  • Proven ability to lead a team of technical staff members to the successful delivery of complex systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience managing remote & outsourced development teams
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into tactical action plans, and establish teams which can execute those plans
  • Consumer electronics / appliances experience preferred
  • Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers
  • Experience with Agile development practices

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Advanced User Interface development (Android, Qt, Storyboard)
  • Public Cloud technologies
  • Control system development
