Job Description

The Associate Human Resources Manager for the Allentown warehouse and manufacturing team provides leadership to and serves as a local consultant on all Human Resource related issues with management and must be well versed in talent acquisition, learning and talent development, organizational effectiveness, change management, compensation and benefits administration, worker’s compensation, leave management, employee relations, employment law and internal communications. This will serve as a unique and essential role, as the primary focus in the first year, will be to support the sourcing, hiring, and onboarding of a leadership team for the new facility. Another key focus is on the creation, establishment and continual development of an engaged culture with positive employee relations. This individual will support all HR work-streams associated with the facility build out, ramp up and launch. This position reports to the Sr Human Resources Manager.  

What you will do:

  • Acts as the onsite strategic HR business partner, who advises the local leadership team of key strategic priorities, supports and guides hiring of the leadership and functional teams and participates on the site leadership team
  • Provides HR policy, practices, and policy guidance to management and applies knowledge across the disciplines of HR, such as talent acquisition, learning and talent development, organization effectiveness, change management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, employment law, internal communications, and leadership 
  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
  • Provides leadership, coaches and develops employees and managers at all levels of the organization
  • Manages the employee performance appraisal and annual compensation process
  • Conducts employee investigations and facilitates the corrective action process with managers to foster continuous improvement, conducts exit interviews and manages employee terminations
  • Operates at a high level to apply, monitor and enforce employment laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Responsible for providing direction on laws that impact the company such as EEO, Worker’s Compensation, FSLA, OSHA, OWBPA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and other federal, state, or local


What you must have:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred
  • 2 or more years progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing setting on a dynamic Human Resources team in a fast paced, high speed, high volume, customer-focused environment
  • Familiarity with HRIS databases (e.g., Workday) and experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Outlook as well as excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, to get along with others, and to build and maintain positive, productive, influential working relationships with all levels of employees
  • Ability to positively, productively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with focused attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability in handling highly sensitive and confidential matters effectively and discreetly
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20% of the time

What we prefer you have:

  • PHR/SPHR certification desired
  • New site launch or extensive facility or site start up, ramp up, build out experience
